Schreiners in 1947

A Family Photograph

This photo was probably taken in 1947. My youngest Parko cousin, Patty, appears to be present. She was born in October, 1946. I was born in April, 1946, but I'm missing. Perhaps I took the picture, but I have no real recollection of that.

Here are the people in the photo, as best I can identify them.

Julia Takács died in 1919. Paul Schreiner is positioned as the patriarch in this picture, and proud he looks. He and Julia had six children, starting with the oldest:

• Gizella (Margie). She did not marry.
• Kathryn (Katie). She later married Louis Jonas and did not have children.
• Genevieve (Jennie). She was already married to George Gerbeth. Dick was their only child.
• Elizabeth (Betty). She was married to Julius (Jake) Parko, and their three daughters Nancy, Margie, and Patty, oldest to youngest, are in the picture.
• Olga. She later married George Imler and had at least two children, Julie Ann and George, Jr.
• Charles Louis (originally Kalman). He was already married to Elizabeth (Betty) Hagey. They had sons Robert Charles and Paul David.

Also in the photo are Paul's brother Joe, his wife Rose, and their daughter Margaret.
