One or two extensions are needed to get the coin far enough away from the camera to view the entire coin. Available from Amazon (link below) and probably elsewhere.

The Lights
Two lights are recommended to replace the included side lights. Both brightness and color temperature are adjustable. Many similar lights will suffice. Amazon link below.

FastStone Image Viewer
Primarily intended as an image viewer, this free software includes many important editing functions such as crop, levels, and curves. Highly recommended.
